Maintain That Mane – Returns. July 1, 2009

Alright ladies, I’m back with a new product. It’s been a few months since I’ve tried anything relatively new on my hair because I’ve been going to the salon and getting it done. Last month, funds started running low and I couldn’t afford to spend forty dollars on getting a wash, set, and deep condition so I invested my last twenty dollars in a GREAT deep conditioner and a hot comb. The conditioner I purchased is Organics Olive Oil Deep Conditioner.

365609

Here’s a little bit about the product:

  • Treatment for weak, damaged hair.
  • Formulated with extra virgin olive oil.
  • Fortified and enriched with extra virgin olive oil, Organics by Africa’s Best Olive Oil Deep Conditioner goes beyond conditioning by reaching a higher level of hair moisturizing, strengthening and revitalizing.
  • Formulated with the age old properties of extra virgin olive oil, Organics by Africa’s Best helps to strengthen damaged, over-processed hair and revitalize weak, fragile hair.
  • Regular use leaves hair soft, silky and healthy looking as never before.
  • Excellent for all hair types, including natural, relaxed, pressed, texturized or color-treated hair.
  • Made in USA.

The product price runs for about $3.99 and it can be purchased at Walgreens and mostly any local beauty supply store. If you’re not too sure about where you can get this conditioner near you, you can go to WALGREEN’S WEBSITE and order it.

Now it works great for me, mostly because my hair is transitioning from permed back to my natural curliness; so it helps with moisture. It doesn’t weigh down the hair and it leaves it soft. If you’re transitioning or you have dry hair, this deep conditioner is a great source for moisture.

Good luck and happy growing!

I have hear nothing but the best about this particular product, so much so that I think I’m going to go test it out myself; it sounds THAT convincing.

Here’s a little about what it does :

So I’ve heard wonderful things about this supplement and I’ve also done a bit of research in the use of it. Now originally biotin is in the body which is essential for hair growth, nail growth, and the appearance of healthy skin. Without the proper levels of biotin emitted in the body, hair growth can or will be stunted; maybe even lead to your hair to falling out. Your nails most likely will break of if they do grow because of this deficiency they will only grow past a certain point before they break and/or bend.

But never fret there is hope; I have discovered that taking biotin; even though I don’t have a deficiency biotin has promoted the growth of my hair and made my nails healthier (I’ve noticed great difference, since my nails were damaged because of having acrylic on them). Now there are different Mg’s that you can take; 300mcg, 600mcg,1200mcg, 2500mcg, 5000mcg. Biotin comes in pill form and if you fear taking it straight, just get a hair, nail, and skin vitamin (I can recommend the one they sell in GNC, it has 3000mcg of biotin in it).

Of course there’s a downside that I have found out through research, that once you stop using biotin (straight biotin that is) your hair may begin to fall out. Why? Because your body’s going to revert back to its old biotin level. Now I can that this DOES NOT happen to everyone. I have been taking great care of my hair; deep conditioning, getting a wash and set every two weeks, and minimizing the amount of heat on my hair, along with the use of the hair, nail, and skin vitamins from GNC and noticed a healthy difference.

Still interested? You can buy any of the products mentioned in this article at GNC or at your local health store that sells vitamins or is geared towards healthy living.

These are the vitamins mentioned in the article above, GNC has many other types that you can look into; I’m sure they work the same.

This is what the biotin bottles at GNC look like, they vary in size and the numbers differ on the bottles depending how many MCG’s your taking.

Around this time of year most people are getting ready to go back to school and the majority of people out there are either looking for a new regimen in their day, new workout routine, better eating habits, and how to manage all the new things they are incorporating in their lives around work and school. All these things mentioned can be pretty difficult to do, but the one thing that may be the easiest to bring about change with is your hair; whether it is a new hair cut or maybe even deciding to grow out a perm and go back natural. Maybe you’ve decided that instead of constantly getting your hair cut that it’s time to grow it. Well with the Maintain that Mane™ series; many tips and products will be mentioned each week to help you further your hair growth.

Where to start? First, you have to have great product; a product that allows your hair to breathe but at the same time nourishes your follicles. One product that I can attest to is Mane ‘N Tail® (I use it every now and again).

The shampoo will increase the thickness of your hair and leave it feeling healthy, not weighed down. I will say to use it sparingly because using it each time you use the product you WILL feel the difference. The thickness the product brings may be something you can only deal with every now and again.

The conditioner; leaves you hair feeling stronger, but also adds to the thick feeling that the shampoo leaves with your hair. So keyword here is: moderation; after all we DON’T have as much hair as a horse. (Yes, this is a product that can be beneficial for both humans and horses.)

There are other Straight Arrow® products that I have heard many wonderful things about, that promote hair growth. So I say go ahead if your looking for a little hope in your hair growth situation Mane ‘N Tail® may be the solution for you.
